APComm
Virtual Academy 2026

APComm hosted its sixth Virtual Academy this May.

The free online week of learning took place from Monday 11 - Friday 15 May.

Virtual Academy provided an opportunity for APComm members to attend a whole host of sessions focused on a range of topics relevant for police communicators.

As in previous years, members benefited from a packed timetable of inputs from within policing, as well as guest speakers, sponsors and more.

This year's sessions included inputs on:

  • Media law
  • The importance of delivering effective change communications
  • How to create engaging internal comms campaigns
  • Resilience in a high pressured environment
  • A whole range of recent, newsworthy operational case studies

The event was hosted on MS Teams and provided an accessible online option, with the ability to dip in and out of learning sessions and tailor learning around the working day demands.

Check back here for updates on APComm Academy, held in person in November.
