As part of APComm’s commitment to support the professional development of its members it oversees the co-ordination of a membership mentor scheme.
The scheme is only made possible by police communicators volunteering time to mentor others across the country, and you do not have to be a qualified mentor to take part.

The scheme benefits from a cohort of mixed levels in police comms as well as mixed disciplines. You may be new to police comms, but can bring experience from other sectors. Each mentor is asked about their capacity but the aim is never to allocate more than two people to each mentor, recognising you may have others you are supporting from within your own organisations.
If you are looking for a mentor, download a mentee form (below) and send to helen.wilson@surrey.police.uk you may be new to policing, changing roles, going for promotion or need a confidence boost, this scheme could be the support you need.
Mentor and mentee matches are done approximately every six weeks and a commitment is made to avoid matches from within or from neighbouring forces or connected police organisations.
