27 March 2025 The fifth APComm Virtual Academy is set to take place from 12 to 17 May 2025. This free online week of learning follows on from our most successful in person Academy which took place in November 2024 in Lincolnshire. Virtual Academy provides an opportunity for APComm members to attend a whole host of sessions focused on a range of topics relevant for police communicators. The event is hosted on MS Teams and provides an accessible online option with the ability to dip in and out of learning sessions and tailor learning around the working day demands. We’re really excited about this year’s agenda, which provides a breadth of subjects across all thematic areas of communications. Members will soon receive the full agenda but for now, here’s a sneak peak of some of the sessions we’re planning on hosting: Negotiating, influencing and presenting skills Media law Using AI in corporate communications How to write effective funding bids Top tips for delivering change communications Use of Whatsapp for warning and informing Producing and hosting podcasts Producing videos So, all that’s left to do is clear your diaries (as much as you can), look out for the timetable and see what you’re interested in so you can benefit from as much peer-to-peer learning as possible.
