New Vice Chairs appointed
During December and January 2025, we ran elections for Vice Chair roles on the APComm executive committee and we were delighted to have 14 people nominated for these roles.
In previous years we have struggled to encourage nominations as the job is purely voluntary and we know that much of the work delivered is done so in people’s own valuable time.
Sadly however, we only have eight Vice Chair spaces on the Executive. Members' votes were carefully counted to identify the highest scoring nominees to form your APComm Executive. And we are delighted to introduce to them below!
The new APComm Vice Chairs for 2025 and 2026 are:
•Alan Woods and Matthew Coyle, from NPCC (job-sharing a Vice Chair role)
•Amy Nagy, from CTPHQ
•Caroline Tozer, from Staffordshire Police
•Hannah Easterby, from Sussex Police
•Helen Wilson, from Surrey Police
•Lindsey Wyatt, from West Yorkshire Police
•Robin Punt, from Essex Police
•Vicky O’Hare, from South East CT and ROCU / Thames Valley Police
With a fantastic mix of Vice Chairs who were re-elected and some new colleagues to the roles too, we feel this is a really strong, diverse group of peers who will represent you and your needs going forward.
We met for the first time as a new Executive on Thursday 23 January and held an all-day planning and ideas session, making sure we captured all the inputs from everyone. As part of this, we started to shape a plan of events and activity for 2025. This plan was presented to Heads of Communications at our national meeting in February and we've had lots of ideas already on what we can do to support you.
Our Vice Chairs look forward to representing you over the next two years.
