Nomination deadline extended for the 2024 Recognition Awards
Colleagues,
Giving the pressures we have all faced during the past couple of weeks we are extending the deadline to get your nominations in for the Association of Police Communicators (APComm) Recognition Awards 2024.
The new deadline for nominations will now be Sunday 25 August 2024.
These prestigious and industry-leading awards for police communicators are now held annually, after the first ceremony took place in 2022.
The awards are designed to recognise the hard work, commitment and good practice of APComm members working in police communicator roles across policing.
The APComm Recognition Awards 2024 will be presented at the Annual APComm Members Academy Conference in November, to individuals or teams who have gone the extra mile or demonstrated exceptional work in police communications.
Any nominations submitted need to meet a category criteria. They will be assessed by a panel of judges and the winners will be announced on Wednesday 27 November during an awards ceremony at the APComm Academy Conference 2024.
We all work with individuals and teams who have gone that extra mile and delivered some exceptional communications work. These awards recognise the work done to help shape the communications landscape and celebrate where that work has helped to deliver policing priorities.
All members of APComm can nominate either themselves or others for these awards, and nominators can include other policing communicators, Chief Officers, PCCs, partners and outside organisations.
APComm is here to share knowledge and learning and to develop our members. Recognising their brilliant work is very much a part of that remit and that’s why these awards are so important.
The categories for this year’s awards are:
- Issues, Crisis or Public
- Innovative use of Media Platforms
- Campaign of the Year
- Inspirational Leader
- Employee Engagement Initiative
- Working in Partnership
- Lifetime Achievement Award
Any nomination should be for work which has taken place over the last 12 months (April 2023 – April 2024).
To nominate, simply fill in the nomination form.
Nominations will close on Sunday 25 August 2024.
